Frocktails: Let It Snowball

For this month's frocktail, I wanted a white, wintry-looking drink, so I mixed up a coconut martini complete with a sorbet "snowball." It's an over-the-top dessert cocktail perfect for the end of a holiday dinner party.

This silver-foil dress from Anthropologie is a sassy little number. I love the poof of the skirt, the cap sleeves, and it has pockets! Case closed. It would be just right for a Christmas or New Year's party paired with some delicate jewelry and a sweet headband.

Coconut Snowball Martini

2 oz. vanilla vodka
1 oz. coconut rum
3 oz. coconut water
1 scoop of coconut sorbet

Combine vodka, rum and coconut water in a martini shaker and fill halfway with ice. Shake until the outside of the shaker is frosted and strain into a martini glass. Top with a round scoop of coconut sorbet. I used a 2 tablespoon-sized scoop. Serves one.

Dress found here. Headband found here. Frocktails is a monthly feature for fashion and libation inspiration.

Weekend in Photos

I had another working weekend, which is not so bad when you're cozy at home next to a twinkly Christmas tree, and it's 30 degrees outside. Still, I hope your weekend was more exciting than mine.

By the way, remember to enter the Red Clover giveaway if you haven't yet!

Weekend in Photos

We enjoyed our last couple days in Seattle with family time, chicken and waffles (our favorite combo), a delicious cake, a walk through Discovery Park, lots of coffee and some amazing Indian food. Then we headed back to New York on the red-eye and went out to buy our Christmas tree after arriving home. Thank goodness I had the distraction of decorating to beat those post-vacation blues. Hope your holiday and weekend was as good as mine!
