Thanks to these images from Sunset magazine, I'm convinced I need to live on a houseboat. Commuting by kayak, beautiful views, getting rocked to sleep, a legitimate reason to wear boat shoes, and no grass to mow.
this last saturday i was surfing the web and found a little houseboat for sale and was OBSESSED with purchasing it for the next 24 hours, until I realized A) I don't have that much dinero and B) it was itty. bitty. teeny. too small. sigh. i will live in one someday!
I love the idea of living on the water and being able to move all around. I can just imagine all the activities that would be possible. It would be like your own little getaway!

I saw this article in Sunset and was also super inspired. Lately I've been loving examples of people who are parenting in unconventional settings and I love this family's way of making it work. Really neat.
Yes! I would live on a house boat or anywhere on the water for that matter, in a heart beat! the water can be so peaceful and relaxing. and who wouldn't want to come home to that?!
i would totally be your neighbor! i think houseboats rock :)

ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a cool place to live! I don't think I could do it year-round, but it'd be great as a summer home!
