Bakery Bliss

There are a lot of things I love about City Bakery: their huge loft space, their macaroni and cheese, their proximity to Anthropologie, J.Crew, Kate Spade and my favorite paper store, the fact that they devote an entire month to hot chocolate, and their very delicious cookies. But if there's one thing that encapsulates my love for this place, it's their baker's muffin. Enormous, packed with nuts, apples and raisins, crunchy on the outside, bready in the middle, dusted with powdered sugar, it's a thing of beauty.

  3. Making a note to myself right now that I need to stop by and try this bakery when I'm back in NYC this July. Oddly, despite having lived in the city in the past, I still feel like I've hardly explored it.

  6. That is one of my favorite spots in the city too! I heart their raspberry bran muffin. And their chocolate chip cookies are the best in the whole world. For realsies.

p.s. What is that Tribeca place you go to brunch at with the doughnuts?
