Weekend in Photos

On Saturday, the husband and I headed out to a beach on Long Island with some friends. We spent the day eating, laughing and napping in the sun, and it was perfect. Sunday was rainy and gray, but luckily, all my plans kept me indoors. I went to a cake decorating class with my friend Amanda where we learned how to make sugar flowers and took home our own mini cakes. Then, I spent the afternoon flipping through this beautiful food photography book and gulping down glasses of blackberry lemonade. How was your weekend?

  1. I'm sorry to hear the rain changed your outdoor plans this weekend, but you very clearly made the best of it. I wholly welcomed the thunderstorms -- they gave me the perfect excuse to sit indoors, do a bit of work, and read. There's really nothing like the sound of rain too. Here's to a beautifully cool week!
