Weekend in Photos
I'm not sure if I've gotten lazy about taking pictures over the weekend or if they just haven't been especially photogenic lately, but it's nice to have something to share today. Since the doctor said "any day now," we finally got our act together assembling the crib and installing the car seat. So the hard part's over, right? ;) I was craving waffles, so we had a tasty brunch at Trace and a walk/waddle around downtown. And we've been taking Zuzu out as often as we can to get out some of that puppy energy. It's been so nice to have even slightly cooler weather. Fall in Texas might be just my speed.

Pet Possessions
It's funny to me how quickly we became "dog people." Zuzu's toys get scattered all over the place so the least they can do is be cute. Harry Barker is a Charleston-based brand that sells eco-friendly and stylish pet products -- I think it's safe to say that Zuzu is a fan. It's nice that all this dog gear can be as chic as it is slobbery.

Weekend in Photos
It was a low-key weekend around here. We tried some restaurants in our neighborhood, Pinthouse Pizza and Noble Sandwich Co., and both were winners. There was some Sunday napping, time outside in Zilker Park and puppy class for Zuzu, which could also just be called roomful of cuteness.

Weekend in Photos
We went to Houston for the weekend to spend time with our friends Nick and Nora. They gave us a tour of the city's neighborhoods, parks, public art and tasty food (biscuits!), and our dogs, Zuzu and Winston, got to spend some quality time together.

Weekend in Photos
We squeezed in donuts, Planet of the Apes, Chinese food and house-hunting this weekend, but all in about four-hour increments so we could check in on Zuzu. We've become puppy parents. We found a field for her to run in and none of us lasted long in the Texas heat, but it was great to give her plenty of space to play. It's amazing how a puppy has changed our routine. I can only imagine what a baby will do.
