I've made this simple salad a couple of times recently, and I love the combination of fresh spring flavors. I used some thinly sliced Easter egg radishes, strawberries, sugar snap peas and spinach, topped it with salt and pepper and a little balsamic vinegar or honey-lemon dressing. It's a nice blend of tastes and textures and a bright addition to mealtime.

Pretend Party: Mother's Day Tea
I've always loved a good tea party (all those tasty carbs), so I think it's the perfect way to celebrate the ladies in your life -- girly, nostalgic and involving multiple desserts.

A Very Happy Announcement
I thought it was about time to share our big life news around here. Jonah and I are expecting our first child! I'm four months along now, so the baby is due in October -- just a few days before my birthday. It's turned into a year of major life changes for us, but we couldn't be more excited. As we keep saying: everything all at once! We feel so blessed and are happy to be expectin' a little Texan!

Chocolate Shopping
There's an artisan chocolate shop in downtown Savannah called Chocolat by Adam Turoni, and if you're ever in town, you should stop by and treat yourself to some of their gorgeous confections. Luckily for everyone else, they have an Etsy shop for online orders, which made me think a box of these beauties would make a great Mother's Day gift. With creations like honeycomb-filled chocolate bars, caramelized chocolate-covered hazelnuts and red velvet cake truffles, you can't go wrong.

April Photo Project: Lunch
This month's photo theme was lunch, and I loved seeing your tasty submissions. I snapped a pic of my tea and avocado toast, which has become a staple, now that I work from home. I usually eat at my desk, so food that only requires one free hand is key. Here's what you shared:
Lesley shared this refreshing-looking cucumber and tomato salad.
Hollie took a photo of her sweet potato nachos, which I'm eager to recreate.
And Allison snapped a pic of a hummus plate she shared with a friend.
If you want to share one of your lunch photos, just leave a link below! As always, thanks for sharing your photos!
