This is not my bird, but he is rather cute, isn't he? He belongs to my friend Anna, and he lives in an apartment in Queens. He has a cage, but he prefers inhabiting the entire window. He is noisy and cheerful in the morning, and grumpy and just a teensy bit scary at night.
Do you have any pets? I'm guilty of a goldfish triple homicide and have had puppy fever for over a year. It might be time for a dog. They seem easier to keep alive than fish.
We have a 15 year old Jack Russel Terrior who is the sweetest old girl. We also just recently adopted an abandoned puggle. Her name is Beignet and she is quite possibly the cutest puppy in the world!
ReplyDeleteI've had puppy fever lately too. I want a bird as pretty as this just to have an excuse to buy lots and lots of pretty antique birdcages!
ReplyDeleteWe are up to two cats (both rather psycho!) and Moose, our 2 year old lab-bulldog mix who also has epilepsy! Needless to say, he is spoiled rotten!
ReplyDeleteI had a bird growing up and I loved him. He would come when you called him and whistle whenever I walked in a room.
ReplyDeleteNow I've got the two most adorable cairn terriers in the world.
I have puppy fever bad... I even asked my dear friend if I can be her dog's godmother... she said yes so that stalled me from going out and getting a pup. Ahh that bird is just too cute!!! xo
ReplyDeleteI have the most adorable guinea pig named Lenny! He has cowlicks in his hair so it looks like he has a mohawk, haha!
ReplyDeletei never really liked dogs until craig and i got our very own. and i love her. she's so easy and sweet.
ReplyDeletebirds creep me out. they're pretty in pictures and in illustrative form, but not in real life...at least not in my opinion anyway. i think i've just seen "the birds" one too many times :(.
you should absolutely get a dog. best thing ever. especially when you're having a down day. nothing can cheer you up faster than a dog :).
I have two doggies. They are the best and the reason for my smiles and laughter daily.
ReplyDeleteI have been noticing so many bird cages lately as decor, have you?
I have two kittens, Lewis and Clark. They are my babies! One sleeps on my chest at night and the other sleeps next to my ear. I fall asleep and wake up to purring everyday. :)
ReplyDelete2 pugs and 1 cat...that's enough
ReplyDeleteLOL
LOL!! I'm bad with goldfish too!!!

How about a kitty? Dogs need lots of care and attention...much like a child. (not kidding here) And they need to be walked. And trained.
ReplyDeleteCats are independent but loving. I've had both. Love dogs, but if you work cats are perfect.
i'm allergic to cats and squeemish with fish. we rescued a queensland heeler four years ago, her name is jezebel and she is a very serious loyal dog. almost two years ago some friends gifted us a jack russel-chihuahua-poodle mutt named luxe...she's wild and fun. having dogs is great, i love taking them to the dog park.
ReplyDeleterufff, rufff. dogs are best!!
ReplyDeletei taught i taw a puddy tat.
ReplyDeletei am a fellow fish killer with dreams of being a mom to a rhodesian ridgeback puppy one day. if only my landlords would let me!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photograph. I do not have a pet, but I met the most adorable little puppy named Stella this morning. I stopped and played with her for a bit. She was so playful and sweet. Cute little Stella, in her pink collar, really made me want a puppy.
ReplyDeleteLove hearing about your pets!
ReplyDeleteIn regards to cats, my husband is allergic and my dad is too. I've never had a cat in my life and probably never will. It's okay though, I'm more of a dog girl anyway.
