I may be getting a little ahead of myself by putting together a library for the baby, but there's just too much nostalgia involved to resist. These were some of my early childhood favorites, and I'm looking forward to reading them to our little one. What are some of your favorites?
Ferdinand the Bull was my favorite. Also Ira Sleeps Over and Sylvester and the Magic Pebble.
ReplyDeleteIt's never too early! I remember quickly building up my daughter's little library when she was still tiny, because I got bored reading the same three books over and over. We also loved the Monster at the end of this Book.
ReplyDeleteAdore! I've always been a huge fan of children's stories. Loved A.A. Milne, Beatrix Potter, A Bear Called Padington, The Wind In The Willows, and all the Berenstain Bears.
ReplyDeleteProb too early but I loved all the Berenstein Bears books. The book "I'll Love Your Forever" is so good- makes me cry though!
ReplyDeleteHave you read "Extra Yarn" by Mac Barnett? One of my favorites. As is "Plant A Kiss," by Amy Krause Rosenthal.
ReplyDeleteThe Very Hungry Caterpillar! Most babies love it, I think.
ReplyDeleteLove these suggestions! Thanks!
ReplyDelete"The Monster At The End Of This Book" is still a favorite of mine. We're going on three generations that each have a copy. :)
ReplyDeleteA more recent favorite is "Guess How Much I love You" I read it to both my daughters and now my grandson.
