While Saturday was rainy and humid, Sunday could not have been more beautiful. There was pie baking for the church potluck, some summer vacation planning, a casual brunch -- which included blueberry mascarpone pancakes, a walk around the neighborhood, and a peek at the bunnies through the local pet store window. How did you spend the weekend?
I was at the beach with both my inlaws and my parents, and we had a wonderful time. Blueberry and mascarpone pancakes sound amazing. (I imagine they'd be very creamy). I'll have to look up a recipe!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteI am trying to figure out where that French toast is from! It fits my two biggest requirements for the dish: triangles with a dusting of powdered sugar.
ReplyDeleteI thrift-shopped in Nolita on Saturday with a girlfriend and hung out at the Brooklyn flea on Sunday with my husband and a visitor from London. And apparently I've been craving Asian food something fierce - Vietnamese on Friday, sushi on Saturday, and Malaysian on Sunday.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! We spent ours hanging out with friends, drinking copious amounts of beer and stuffing our faces with good food. Oh and also looking at like a million houses to potentially buy. It was a good, exhausting weekend.

The pancakes were from a restaurant here in New York, but it seems like there are some good recipes out there, like this one: http://llcskitchen.blogspot.com/2008/02/two-of-my-favorite-people-and-their.html
