Frocktails: Feeling Passionate

I think Lisa Turtle of Saved by the Bell once discussed the value of matching a drink to an outfit, so you can thank her for this new monthly feature: Frocktails. Hopefully, I'll provide you with a little fashion and libation inspiration that you can enjoy separately or simultaneously.

In Paris, I had a passion fruit martini at our hotel bar and it was delicious. The flavor was bright and tropical and the color was so striking. I've been craving one ever since we got home.

Now about that dress, it's from ModCloth and is available is several colors, including the bold mustard shade above. It's soft and comfortable, but has a Mad Men sort of vibe which goes so nicely with a martini in hand.

Passion Fruit Martini

2 oz. passion fruit juice
2 oz. vodka
1 oz. lime juice
1 oz. simple syrup

Chill martini glass. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and shake until the shaker is frosty. Strain and serve. Garnish with the fruit of your choice, I used kiwi. Serves one.

ModCloth's Work with Me dress found here. Locket found here.
