One of my favorite things about December is the appearance of panettone. I feel like it's one of those things not everyone is a fan of, but I love it. I've taken to buying my own mini-sized loaf every year and eating it toasted and buttered for breakfast for about a week straight. Last Christmas, I made a
panettone bread pudding that I'm looking forward to baking and tasting again this year.
Sigh, what is it about bread pudding that's so magical? This looks amazing! (The thought of it buttered for breakfast is making me drool like a baby :))
ReplyDeleteOh yes...Im with you on that! I can eat panettone every day for breakfast:) Looks amazing, sweetie

It's definitely a Christmas treat!
ReplyDeleteOh, my family and I adore panettone! Wish it was around all year, but then again it won't be so special for Christmas season. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never had that before but it looks good! I love Christmas food traditions. For us, it's a casserole we make ahead of time and heat in the oven on Christmas morning. Happy holidays!

Oh that sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI know I'm horribly late with this comment, but as Christmas is coming around *this* year, and the panettones are sure to start popping up at the markets... Have you tried panettone french toast? Incredible. It's become a family Christmas morning tradition that we don't intend to stop any time soon. Or ever.
