The amazing fact that life is pretty much back to normal in my neighborhood isn't lost on me. We walked around feeling very grateful this weekend. We had brunch at LIC Market, where piles of donated items filled the front of the restaurant. I spent some time in the kitchen getting a Christmas gift project underway. Even our subway line was up and running again. And after a week of working from home, it felt good to reconnect with the city.
Grateful!
ReplyDeleteHooray for a return to normalcy! I'm so glad you weren't more affected by the storm- my heart breaks for those who were.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear things are running smoothly.
ReplyDeleteus too! back to normal mostly... except PATH trains are still not running, gas lines are still ridiculous (i drive to work), and there's still a citywide curfew of 7pm in jersey city :(
ReplyDeleteSo good to hear. Still praying that everyone else is taken care of!
