Patriotic Pound Cake

If you're looking for a simple dessert to celebrate the 4th of July with, this sour cream pound cake is one of my favorites. I love to slice it, toast it under the broiler and serve it with juicy strawberries. Of course, you can get your red, white and blue on by pairing it with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. Enjoy the holiday! Hope you're up to something sweet and summery!

  1. You're a sweet gem! This is the first American cake I recall from my childhood. Growing up, Dominican cake was always a staple on the cake stand, but ever so often my mom would buy us either Entenmann's or Sara Lee and I'd be in heaven. I love drizzling condensed milk over mine ;-)
