i love that first skirt. i'm always torn with pleats, though. i think they're pretty and then i think they're kind of for grannies. i think you've convinced me of the former.
Love this style - the first and the last are my favorite. Completely agree that they can get old-ladyish but if you dress it up with the right top, they're great!

amen!! i have myself a pleated maxi skirt that's black and a mid-length gray pleated skirt...and i can't help but take advantage of a good twirl while wearing them :) but i need some colors! that teal one is fantastic :)
I agree that pleated skirts are one of the more 'fun' pieces of clothing to wear. I make sure I do a few good twirls before leaving the house to save on embarrassment when forced to expel my twirls in public (they are compulsory in skirts like this of course). Otherwise standing over a subway grating and letting it blow up the dress is also a love of mine.
