Weekend in Photos

Visits with my parents never seem long enough, but I feel fortunate we packed so much good stuff into one weekend. Jonah and I took them to a handful of our favorite spots: Sweet Chick, Paulie Gee's, Luke's Lobster, and then there was an extraordinary, extra special meal at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. We saw John Prine in concert at the Beacon -- an early birthday present to my dad, visited three, yes three, bakeries, and all huddled up to watch Breaking Bad on Sunday night. I'm a lucky girl to have these people in my life.

  1. I always feel a hint of pride as a New Yorker when I can instantly recognize spots from around town in others' photos. We hit 5 Pointz last weekend--that place is incredible. I love hosting visitors in NY too, because it makes you appreciate all the cool stuff we have here all over again. Also, just as a side note--your dad looks extremely cool.

  7. Love this post and love the pic of your mom smiling. It captures her personality so well! I enjoyed seeing them at the family reunion and I'm sure you guys had a wonderful time at the John Prine concert. I saw him with mom in Champaign last year and he was wonderful!
