Summer and the City

This New York City engagement session by Brookelyn Photography is all kinds of adorable. The couple just looks like they're having fun,  New York seems summery, but not sweltering, and then there's the inclusion of food and drink, which I'm particularly fond of. Especially that ice cream sandwich.

Food Coloring

Last week, I stopped by the Union Square Greenmarket and was amazed by the bright, bold sea of colors. Yay for summer produce! It's the healthier way to taste the rainbow.

Maine Must: Primo Restaurant

 

One of the highlights of Maine was a visit to Primo Restaurant in Rockland. I made reservations months ago after seeing Anthony Bourdain pay the place a visit because if it's Bourdain-worthy, my family will definitely be interested.

Everything was delicious and beautifully presented, homemade pasta, fresh seafood and hearty pieces of meat. And those cannoli practically changed my life. Primo is one of those restaurants that's all about the farm to table experience. They grow their own vegetables, harvest their own eggs and even have their own adorable pigs, but we won't get into that. It was an incredibly lovely dinner. Our waitress even asked if I wanted to sneak into the kitchen for a photo. Of course, I said yes.

Pencil Me In

These No. 2 pencils hand-wrapped in Japanese washi paper from Maoiliosa are so fancy. It's about time pencils got a makeover.

Maine Vacation

We made our way to Maine and back again. I didn't get the break from the heat I had hoped for, but the scenery was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the company, well, that's always my favorite part.
