oh man. my husband & i went to the beach a few weekends ago, & i couldn't help but notice the glamorous women in their long-sleeved cover-ups, long hair blowing in the wind underneath a beautiful floppy hat. and there i stood, drenched in sweat, short hair stuck to the back of my neck. how do they do it, i wonder?
My guess is that these photos were taken within the first five minutes of these women arriving on the beach. And the beaches were probably the cool ones of Southern California rather than the hot, humid ones on the East Coast.
I only wish my frame could wear something so glamorous. Those pictures are of a bygone era that I wish would come roaring back. What style and effortless femininity...or perhaps it did take a little effort. Either way I would be happy to wear one of those suits!
I love this post and I want every single outfit! too cute. I definitely don't look like that at the beach either.
ReplyDeletesuch good inspiration, particularly since i'm at the beahc now!
ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how many times I have wished I lived in a different time period. This post totally makes me want to live in the 50's!
