There's a beautiful bakery in SoHo called Dominique Ansel. I could go on and on about the welcoming feel, their charming outdoor space, the gorgeous and delicious treats they create, but I'll start small since their mini meringues are what first caught my eye. The cute, little confections come in bright colors and flavors like lemon, peppermint, raspberry and coconut. I brought home a container of pistachio meringues and am already thinking about how cute they'd look on top of a cake ... if they last long enough.
So cute and yes atop a cake would be perfect.
