Last Friday, the husband and I went out for dumplings at Mandoo Bar, an unassuming little place in Koreatown. We're big fans of their boiled and fried pork and vegetable dumplings. You even get to watch the staff make them through the front window. A heaping plate of steamy comfort food on a rainy New York night, that's what I call a hot date.
ooh I love dumplings too!
ReplyDeleteThey're actually quite easy to make if you can find those pre-made dough rounds. A friend once made them for me and they were amazing!
those dumplings look delicious... and now i'm hungry!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like so much fun! Vanessa's just opened a location in my neighborhood, and I'm looking forward to many dumpling dates in my future...
ReplyDeleteThis might be my husband's perfect dinner idea.....If we only lived a little closer to a big city! Know of any in savannah?
ReplyDeleteChris is a huge dumpling fiend. I've gotta bring him there.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried these! I should probably change that.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, this place looks incredible!
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant looks wonderful!

What a fun date!
ReplyDeleteOooh, they indicate that certain dumplings are vegetarian - I am going to have to check it out! Shawn and I need to think outside the box a little bit on our restaurant choices...I have eaten far too many iterations of roasted beets/brussels sprouts/cauliflower recently. This looks fun!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, dumplings. I love dumplings so much! And you look super cute!
ReplyDeleteMMMM. These look so yummy! There's a dumpling restaurant in our city that i've been itching to go to for a while now.
ReplyDeleteWe have "dumpling" night every tuesday night, but make them ourselves (we used to live with an asian family who gave us some really good lessons) and stuff them with all sorts of things. Our favorite though is probably pork with shrimp and lemongrass. And then dipped in black chinese vinegar...Now i'm getting hungry!
